It all started with a someecard my husband jokingly set me. Not only did it serve to remind me that Lent follows Mardi Gras (something I seem to forget year to year), but it got me thinking: what would life be like if I gave up the internet?
Before I could get very far in [...]

the ghost of lobster dinners past

kelly | December 19, 2008

1993: as near as i can figure, lobster dinners started christmas of my junior year of high school. the original guests included my parents and me. the menu has changed little since that first meal: lobster, baked potato, and a salad, although the salad dropped off in the early 2000’s because it just got [...]

kelly | October 26, 2008

here’s what’s happening in the next month (in general planning order and including the last week of october):

drink way [...]

we are betrayed, my brethren

kelly | February 17, 2007

stars on ice are better than monster trucks

subtitled: new things can surprise you
so one time a while ago (like …8 or so years) someone invited me to my very first hockey game.
“why would i want to go to a hockey game? it’s just a bunch of guys skating and getting into fights instead of actually playing a game!” said i. but [...]
