louder please

speak up, i can't hear you

nanowrimo 2008: days 22 – 25

about 4500 words “left” to write. i’m racing to be able to type “the end” as much as i’m racing to finish the word count. it won’t feel like i’ve “won” unless there’s a clear end to the story by the end of the month. i should have no trouble reaching the 4500 words (i can probably finish it on the trip to chicago tomorrow, assuming i don’t fall asleep), but there are still 3 significant chunks of events left which are going to take some time. even if i skeleton it like i’ve been doing for the last few nights, there will still be much to say.

for now, though, i’m pretty pleased. in the middle of the month i didn’t think i’d make it and now i’m practically finished! i have lots more i want to talk about, with respect to arguing with my characters and how stubborn they’ve become now that it’s the end and i’m trying to make they go where they need to and they wont, but i’m very sleepy and i have to get up tomorrow and bake cookies and make food for the baby and get ready to go to chicago for thanksgiving, so i won’t.

no snippets for you today, and likely not again. it’s all the end of the story and i’d hate to ruin it for you :)
