nanowrimo 2008: day 6
you know, a ticker on my website would be easier than this. 13.5k words now. that’s an extra 2600 or so in the last 24 hours. the story is really starting to flow now. i’m actually worried i’ll hit the target and not be at the finish line. i’m trying to find more places to cut or gloss to get to the good scenes, but there’s just so many good scenes stacked on top of each other right now. i’m getting to the first parts of the story that i saw in my head and wanted to write down, which is exciting for me. sadly, my body cannot keep up with my brain right now, so i’m having to write it in short shifts while capable enough of loading the scene into my head. one of those is over now, what with it being 12:30 in the morning.
no excerpt today, either, because it’s getting juicy and my options are either dump too much in here and “ruin” stuff, or put down something mundane. not gonna happen.
