louder please

speak up, i can't hear you

pencils down!

so it’s almost 2:30 in the morning.

… and i finished. WOO!!!!

i really, really, really like the last chapter: the epilogue. i think it can actually stand on it’s own, but it contains massive spoilers for the rest of the story (and yet doesn’t). i don’t trust my 2:24 am judgement, so i’m not posting it here yet. we shall see what tomorrow brings, though.

um yeah, i feel like i should say something a bit more at this moment, like how great it feels, how glad i am that it’s over, how much i’ve learned etc etc. but really, it’s 2 fucking 30 in the morning and i have to get up and go to work in about 4 hours.

…it also appears that i’ve broken office in my attempt to “scramble” the text. sigh. brb.

not cool. not the end of the world, but when i opened it back up (the second copy, have no fret), to look at the copy that’s going to the official robot that counts the words, the total word count tally at the bottom said something around 40k, and i thought maybe there might be some drama with the spacing that fucked the whole thing up. but no. it all came out alright.

yeah, so i’m totally stalling here while i upload. can you tell?

…brushing my teeth now…

wondering if it would be wrong to add another 11 words, just so i beat out steve’s 50014.

gah…taking so long….

you’re only getting this because ryan is snoring in the next “room” so i have to be quiet and stuff and there’s nobody else to talk to …

…you know what’s funny? i still don’t have a title. i have a rally cry that someone says around word 38000 with a comment that says “make this not suck and make this the title”, and that’s it.

…um…error? there was an error with my text file? i’m gonna be cranky…

woot! nevermind!

grand total came in at 50031, and i’m stating for the record that i did not go back and pad to beat steve. their counter is more generous than mine is all.

woot! icon on the side changed!!

(morning edit: i had originally pegged steve as writing 500014, which is a bit too much)
