nano day 8-10: 14074

i am too tired to write anymore, which is a shame, because it was about to get a bit juicy. i was hoping to get to 16k before i left for the weekend. i hope to get around 2k done over the 4 days, which is going to put me *severely* behind, but i’m still confident i can make up the time. my target’s 2k/day, and that setback would actually make my daily needed average 1996 wpd. (yes, there’s a spreadsheet. you should know me well enough to know that).

i’m up this late for more than one reason, unfortunately. not only am i suffering from my standard pre-flight insomina, but we discovered a mouse in our apartment earlier. suddenly sleeping on an air mattress on the floor does not sound particularly inviting. not that it did earlier, but it really doesn’t now.

fortunately, one of the benefits of living in an apartment building is that when a mouse runs under your dishwasher and down a pipe into the basement, they’re actually becoming someone else’s problem.
