cautionary tivo tale
last night we started watching “house m.d.” while it was still taping. we noticed that american idol ran a bit long, so ryan suggested we extend our “house” taping by a few minutes to make sure the end doesn’t drop.
so (while taping), i went into the season pass manager and upgraded it to stop recording 5 minutes later. when i got back to my now playing screen. house was no longer recording.
and the 50ish minutes it had already recorded were not there.
and the channel that should have cached the last 30 minutes decided that it wasn’t, and only had the last 2 or 3 (the time it took us to go WTF?! and view the live tv).
so we got the last couple of minutes. just long enough for cameron and forman to have a conversation that made us wish we hadn’t missed it.
